This isn’t the best video, but at least I have one. I hate it when I want to capture a fleeting quirk and miss it because I want the “perfect” example of it. This is an example of how Coop moves around. He is thirteen months today and I have no idea if he will transition to typical crawling before walking. One of the exciting and scary parts of parenthood is the unknown.
Speaking of transportation, Chicken is flying out to visit his father and family in Virginia next week. He’ll be gone for a whole month. I hope he has a good time and takes his medications every single day. *ahem*

Oh, wow…look at him go!
Seeing your video list just put the “Sad Grumpy Motherfucker” earworm back in my head.
I think he gets around pretty well – whatever works is what they’re going to do.
I hope Chicken has a good visit. If his dad can manage to keep his poor behavior limited to his dealings with you, this will be good for Chicken.
Wow – He’s gone for a month. Shall we take bets on how this will go down and see just how responsible H1 will be to make sure Chicken does what he needs to do?
Pray God that Chicken takes his pills and maybe grows up a bit while he is gone.
Looks like Coop has that lower body movement you could almost say that if he just pushed himself up, he would stand.
Jeremy
the funny thing is that when you hold Coop’s hands and see if he will stand up, he dangles. As if standing on his feet is scary. The little one has become quite fast in his interesting way of scooting.
Is the whole house hardwood floors? I’ve heard some people say that their children crab-crawl like that because it hurts the child’s knees to crawl on hard surfaces.
No, the bedrooms are carpet and the kitchen and bathrooms are tile. But we do spend most of the day on the hardwood. His 3 year old brother crawled on all fours but walked late. If it was me I’d sit on my diaper padded butt all day.
