My MIL emailed this picture to me and I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or cry. Some days this is exactly how I feel about breastfeeding. Not most days, but there are times when my poor bewbies feel battered all to fuck and the thought of one more bite from those sharp bottom teeth makes me want to hide under my bed. I don’t have the energy or brain power for a full post, so this is my lame, “Still nursing full time and (mostly) loving it” update. Hey, at least the first day of my last period was 4/20/08. Fuck you PMS!

You're doing a GREAT job. Just wanted to tell you that. I remember feeling that way though, and I was never able to exclusively bf because of all of Brooklyn's medical issues!! Hang in there though, you really are doing such an awesome thing for Egg.
OMG even with EP'ing my breast felt like that! My little man (1-23-09) and I couldn't work it out and I EP'ed till 8 months then I decided I wanted my tits back.

Heh. Love that picture. My current nurser doesn't have teeth yet, and so far, I've been able to scare the shit out of my kids enough by screaming when they bite me that I haven't really had a biter. Thank the Gawd. But I've felt like hiding sometimes all the same. My daughter nursed until she was almost 3, and I felt like I was losing my goddamn mind.

My baby is 11 months tomorrow and I still feel that way sometimes, particularly with all the teething. And, I just got my first post baby period yesterday (last one was Feb. 2008.) It sucks, and is also unjust I think as my babe is still not sleeping through. Mother Nature is a bitch.

lucky!!! for whatever stupid ass reason i GOT my period even though i nurse exclusively with the princess and supplemented some with stinky. ended up getting an IUD to put the kabosh on all that stupid bleeding. how many teeth does egg have? the princess didn't start ripping up the nipples till she got a third tooth up top and wtf… bloody nursing pads, yo.
